If raising chickens in your backyard is interesting to you then you’ll enjoy this article as well. All of us would have craved to own pets while we were young children and not many parents approve of the same. It has been my dream to own a chicken coop in our garden during my childhood days but my parents never agreed, specifically my mother would tell that they are very dirty creatures and would dirty the house a lot.
But now since I have grow up I never put such restrictions to my daughter. We have a backyard where we are growing about 7 hens and 2 roosters. It is fun to see them grow up. We have been nursing them from small and we have names for each hen and the roosters as well. They are like an extended family to us. We enjoy feeding them, we ensure that they have an clean and neat place to habit. Its really fun seeing them do small small things, they stand and sleep and what not. We found the process of our first hen laying eggs as though it was a daughter of the family and took extreme care of her. She is the proud mother of three of her children now who are also growing with her. How she used to take care of them and teach them to feed themselves, keep themselves safe are all really wonderful. We keep them fenced in our backyard safe from predators and they love us so much. They are very disciplined creatures. We love having them as our pets.
