Raising and keeping chickens in your backyard is fun and easy. To do this, you can build a chicken coop to give them a safe and comfortable home away from predators and so that they don’t acquire diseases and thereby maintaining good health.
Be sure to supply them with enough food and water so that they don’t have to look for food somewhere else thereby containing them within the area you build for them. You can get chicken food from pet stores but chicken eat almost anything so you can also give them some leftover food or some sunflowers seeds and corn but also remember that they also eat vegetables. Be sure to regularly clean the chicken coop to keep them pests free. T
he chicken manure that you collect after cleaning the coop can be a great fertilizer for your garden but it would be a good idea to compost it first and not to apply it directly to the plant as it can burn the plant when applied directly.
